TS-10 Musician’s Manual Section 9 — Program Parameters

TRANSWAVE -Specific Wave Parameters
Each Transwave is actually composed of many different single-cycle waveforms, which progress
from one timbre to another, occupying adjacent areas of memory. Movement within the sound is
created by playing different waveforms in succession; that is, by modulating the wavetable.
The illustration below shows a typical wave of this category, with the index set in the middle
range, near 50.

When the wave class is TRANSWAVE, the lower line of the display shows:

Point
INDEX Range: 00 to 99
The Index parameter controls where within the wavetable the voice-loop will begin playing when
the key is struck.
MODSRC Range: 00 to 99
Here you choose which of the 15 modulators will control the movement of the sound. Any of the
modulators can be selected.
MODAMT Range: -99 to +99
Determines how much the selected modulator (above) will affect the wave; i.e. how far away
from the start point the sound will move. If MODAMT=+00, the sound will remain static.
Positive amounts will modulate the sound forward (toward the end of the wave); negative
modulation amounts will move the sound back toward the beginning.
