TS-10 Musician’s Manual Section 5 — Preset/Track Parameters
13
Press the Performance Options button again to get to the Pedal page:
Pedal Page Range: (described below)
The Pedal parameter disables (when OFF) or controls the polarity of the CV•Pedal, when
PEDAL=VOL on the SYSTEM page. Inverted polarity can be used to crossfade between layered
tracks with the volume pedal.
Press the Track/MIDI button to get to the MIDI Status page:
MIDI Status Page Range: (described below)
This page determines the MIDI Status of a track (i.e. whether it will play locally, only over MIDI,
or both). The six possible settings are:
SEND/RECV Keys, controllers, etc., will play locally and will be sent via MIDI over a selected MIDI
channel. Incoming MIDI will play internal voices. This is the default setting for Presets.
SEND/---- Similar to SEND/RECV, keys, controllers, etc., will play locally and will be sent via MIDI
over a selected MIDI channel. However, incoming MIDI will not play internal voices.
----/RECV The track will only play internal voices, and will not send any data out MIDI. Incoming
MIDI will play internal voices. This is the default setting for sequencer tracks.
MIDI-OFF The track will only play internal voices, and will not send any data out MIDI. Incoming
MIDI will not play internal voices.
VOICE-OFF Keys, controllers, etc., will be sent out via MIDI when the track is played from the
keyboard. However, keys played on the local keyboard will not play TS-10 voices at all.
Incoming MIDI and sequencer playback will not play internal voices. This is useful
when using the TS-10 as a controller with an external sequencer and a number of other
remote MIDI devices. It is also good for turning off certain tracks when using the TS-10
as a multi-timbral receiver in MULTI Mode, thereby limiting the number of channels to
which the TS-10 will respond.
LOCAL-OFF Keys, controllers, etc., will be sent out via MIDI when the track is played from the
keyboard. However, keys played on the local keyboard will not play TS-10 voices at all.
Incoming MIDI and sequencer playback will play TS-10 voices. Use this status when
you want to create MIDI-only tracks for sequencing or playing remote MIDI devices.
MIDI-LOOP This track STATUS is optimized for use in a MIDI loop. It functions just like LOCAL-
OFF, except that the sequencer will not play local voices. This ensures that sounds will
not play twice (once locally and again via incoming MIDI) when sequencing in a MIDI
loop. See Section 10 — Understanding the Sequencer for information about recording
into the sequencer in a MIDI loop.
